The agricultural sector and food distribution are respectively the 4th and 5th most polluting industries in the world
Agriculture, and therefore food, are essential levers on which it is possible to act on our scale. Why? How? These are the questions that we asked ourselves and that we will explore throughout our project.
Why the topic of sustainable food?
Because we believe that it is a subject on which it is possible to act on an individual scale. The actions of one person can influence those of others! Snowball effect, all that...
And we know that the food challenge is considerable: according to the UN, there will be 10 billion of us by 2050, which implies considerable additional pressure on planetary resources, which are finished!
But we promise our goal is not to lecture you, you'll see.

What is the purpose of 1 Fork Away?
It's to educate our generation on the subject of sustainable food by establishing a state of the art of today's challenges of the sector and by offering simple solutions that can be activated on our scale.
That's all very nice.
But you are probably wondering:
how to achieve these goals?

Who are we?
Who is behind this amazing project?
Above all, there are 2 young women, Pia and Charlotte, both EDHEC students and proud members of their school's surf association, ENR. Both performing 6-month internships during their gap years, a common feeling inhabits them: they don't feel like they're doing enough to fight global warming. Yes I am talking about us in the 3rd person.
Pia & Cha therefore discussed and debated for long hours and came to an agreement: they wanted to create a project from scratch and go out into the field to discover and learn for themselves. Sooner said than done, a few months later, 1 Fork Away pointed the tip of its nose.

I just performed a 6-month internship in CSR strategy and I am studying management at EDHEC. I am passionate about sports and compost. It was during my degree at ESCP, thanks to which I had the chance to live in London, Madrid and Berlin that I began to take an interest in environmental issues following numerous research, films and lively debates.
I bring to this project the "wild" side of the team, I handle our social networks and I approach potential partners.

After sailing between the University of Nanterre and La Catho de Lille, it was at EDHEC that I settled down for my master's degree and then at EcoAct for my gap year internship. Passionate about running, surfing and cooking, it was during my exchange in Asia and particularly during a trip to Vietnam that I wanted to get involved for the planet! In charge of logistics, finance and the "bizdev" of the project, I chase our future partners!
